LeMans movie cars - Porsche 917LH progress thread
Current project: Movie cars from Steve McQueen's 'LeMans' movie of 1971. Porsche 908 is completed - it was only seen in glimpses in the movie. Now the #25 Porsche 917LH of Elford and Ahrens. This is a Fisher resin kit with upgrades. I sacrificed a Fujimi 917K for parts and of course, scratchbuilding parts also. Using ST27 P/E also.
Interior details: headless Elford (the only way I could get the top on over him - sorry Vic, you'll get a head soon.) I wont mention the feet/legs.  Had to stretch those arms a bit!

Great detail on the switches. Canīt wait to see that one finished. Hopefully the driver gets a head eventually!!

Cool, great to see you tackling such a superb subject with your equally superb talents.
I've got the LMM number 3 Hippy 917LH (finished 2nd in 1970) in the to do pile. Last edited by RallyRaider; 06-07-2004 at 10:41 PM. Reason: spelling

June 15 update
Update for June 15 Pics of decaled body
   Red trim decals around the headlights took an hour each and plenty of setting solution to get them on. Waiting for good weather to clear coat (may be awhile  )Wheels and other details are done, just waiting for the body.
