Talking 95 Cav that surges - FIXED thanks cujotom

Hi all. I have a 95 cav 2.2 and I also experienced a surge between 35 - 50 mph as cujotom did in his thread. It was just annoying and has lasted a very long time. I replaced both coil packs, the spark plug cables, tps sensor, 2 fuel injectors and my brother put in a new brain (pcm) to try and fix the problem before the car was mine. So we tried about everything.

FINALLY I saw the thread where cujotom found out his egr valve was shot and he fixed his problem by plugging up both sides of the valve. Well I first tried to clean the egr valve as I read it could be cleaned with carb cleaner and it may work again but that didn't work. SO I plugged up both sides of the egr valve and the car runs great. So I want to say thanks cujotom and to others, please check your egr valve, it's easy to get to and VERY cheap to fix. Now the check engine light may come on because the valve is blocked. Mine came on at first but has sense went out?
