Gurgling in heater core

Hello all,

First post here, I did a search but didn't find anything. I have a 98 4.3L and even when idle and I press the accelerator I can hear gurgling from as far as I can tell is coming from the heater core. What might cause this. It has done it for ages and I am finally wanting to get rid of it.
