Recharging a/c
I plan to buy an a/c recharge kit for my v6 Malibu but I need to know which a/c hose the kit needs to be connected to. I noticed the a/c on the Malibu has two hoses. Please help.

When recharging an A/C system always use the low side. On the V6 Malibu, this is located just in front of the firewall, behind the accessory belt routing. NEVER USE THE HIGH SIDE TO CHARGE! This is the one just above the radiator.
Since the A/C needs to be running while charging, I need to tell you to also be very careful not to let your forearm touch the belt while you are trying to get to the fill valve. I had lots of problems charging mine last week. I finally bought the fill hose with the pressure gauge built in (as directed by sparkn on my previous post http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=232246) and discovered why I had so much trouble. I didn't have the fill hose properly connected. I only discovered this when I saw that there was no low side pressure reading. As of Friday night, mine is charged and cooling.
