Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban: Movie Review

ok, i havent been much of a movie reviewer as of late, but there really has been nothing that i wanted to waste $9.50 on till now.

me and my bro went to see this film, and i know your thinking this is a kids movie, your wrong, it is very much geared for adults as well. Much darker and sinister than the first 2 films, HP3 is a more magical journey into the Hogwarts castle. We find our main star and his two best buds in trouble when they realize the only man to escape a maximum security prison is out to kill Harry.

As i said before magic is more widely used in this iteration than ever before, and this film had alot of, for a lack of a better word, scary moments in it. Great suspense and terrific acting as these kids have really found their talents.

A good movie to see, i recommend it.

3 stars out of 4. Rated PG for mild violence, crude humor, and language.

Approx 2hr20mins.

Shuttup nooB, and check his signature.

I'm going to see this with my girl Thursday... there haven't really been any good movies out lately... I'm really waiting for I,Robot, Chronicles of Riddack, and (don't laugh) Alien Vs. Predator.

I saw The Day After Tomorrow this past week, but it was corny as hell. Interesting dooms day idea though.

ill tell ya right now the chronicles of riddick will stink more than yesterdays diapers. but im looking forward to AVP, although i cant seem to find a way to make the alien win, they die way to easily, and the predator has that little medic kit he uses to fix himself.

Re: Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban: Movie Review

im kinda of a nit-picker when it comes to details.

Unlike the other two movies they did not stay true to the book in a few details that rather changed the time line. Events happening out of order that did happen didnt really play a big part of anything so its forgiveable.

The hippogriph had issues as well, you will notice at times harry alone will sit infront of the wings but then in other shots he is behind. Having obstructions for the wings is not cool for flying, thus my noting of this.

You will also notice the general layout of the "grounds" was shown much more in HP3 then in the previous two BUT they changed it enough for me to notice. Hagrids hut lays at the edge of the forest but in this one he lives near a grouping of trees and no where near a forest. Although im sure this was done so as to leave more a budget for the hippogriph and other stuff, i was hoping for a more fluid campus that remained the same or changed slowly.

I do have to say that outa 4 stars it retains a 3 star rating because of its overall appeal to all ages and having the chick being the only one be in a physical altercation.

Re: Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban: Movie Review

for all its faults in book loyalty (or the lack there of rather) it was intoxicatingly well shot. from a cinematography nuts stand point, it was absolutly wonderful.

though, there is apparently (havent read the books, but the GF is a nut, so she tells me) alot of REALLY IMPORTANT back story that they leave out.

they need to have extended versions of these like they do the LOTR trilogy

I wouldn't call it favoritism at all. It's earned respect. He's beeen around long enough we all know him, and over the years he's been here he's earn many many members respect. He's one of the more respected members of the honda community here at AF.

You need to realize something. Respect isn't given around here, it's earned. Of course people who have earned respect may have a few more options than people without it, but you find me one job or place this isn't true.

You'll find that respect plays a big part of who does what in life, and it's no different here.
