Question Interesting radio/cd problem and front wipers too!!!

Hi all, I've got two problems so here's the poop. I got a 95 explorer Eddie Bauer with the premium sound package and 6 disc changer. The problem with it is:

1. When the system is playing a CD at normal listening volume, (that is, for a 26 year old) every minute or so I will hear this nasty low noise come out of one of the four main speakers (it doesn't seem to affect the sub but i'm not 100% sure about that). It's not always the same speaker and it seems to be completely random. The sound is very similar to overdriving a speaker with bass but this only happens for a split second and I'm not pushing the system to it's limits. I believe this only happens with CD's but it could also happen with the radio I guess, I just haven't noticed it yet because I rarely listen to it. Other than that, the system sounds like it's supposed to so the speakers are definitely not blown.

The problem with the front wipers are:

2. The washer fluid won't come out. The rear one works fine. But I know it's not a fuse or the pump being dead because after I play with that button you gotta push in for about a minute, I get a little squirt (not a full one). So obviously it's a connection/contact issue, but where do I start?

Any help is mucho appreciated!

Can't help you with the stereo noise. (26 years-old was a LOOOOOONG time ago )

However, I have a '96 and have the exact same problem with the front washers. I usually use rain-x and don't seem to need the washers much, so I've never really looked into it. However, I always thought it was a priming issue. When you haven't used them in a while it takes forever to get fluid onto the windshield. Once it's working, though, it seems to be OK until it sits again.

Replacing the plastic hose from the pump to the jets should be fairly cheap and *may* solve your problem. Who knows, I may just try it myself!
