Civic, CRX, Toyota Celica? on snow & cheap

ok,
i've looked around, posted thread after thread, and most of all i have read a mind-boggling number of old threads so i can TRY not to ask stupid or old questions. my apologies if somehow a similar question has slipped by me!

On my budget (don't even ask--i've already been openly mocked for the actual numbers, suffice it to say i'm dirt poor) -- what year-round, snow state daily driver can be the most fun for cheap? Civic, CRX, Toyota Celica?

I know that in any case, i will probably have to find one with cosmetic problems to bring it down into my price range, hopefully dents that don't indicate a cracked unibody!

(how do you tell if a unibody is cracked anyway? I only suspected when water was filling my last car --a 200k honda-- to seat-depth...)
