b16a vs b16a6

I bought a b16a for my 96 civic and i was wondering what the difference is between the b16a and b16a6?

b16B (184 HP)
B16A1 (160HP OB1)
B16A2 (160HP OBII)
B16A3 (170HP)

Hmm I heard of a b16a6 somewhere on this forum, atleast i think i did. Well my block just says b16a so i guess its just a b16a1 right?

theres a d16a6 from the 88-91 civic/crx SI, never any b16a6.

plus there were only b16a2, b16a3, and b16a's never a1's. only american b16's had numbers after the a, japan motors only used b16a.

European B16A1's exist, and yes there's a B16A6, it is the same as the B16A2/3/4.

usdm civic si 99-00 had the b16a2, but the JDM/EDM 88-91 civic/crx sir also had the b16a

above it says the A3 is 170HP, isnt the A3 in the del sols only 160HP, and its just 170 if its JDM cuz of higher compression. thats the case with almost all the B16's isnt it?

Yes the USDM A2/a3 are only rate at 160 bhp, while the JDM 92+ motors are rated at 170bhp.
