To shave or not to shave

i was going to save my handles off of my 99 gs.. i use it as an every day driver and i hear that shaved handles arn't good if you use em everyday? has anyone heard anything like that? also my car is an emerald green w/ metalic flakes and i wanted to do some interior work any idea on some colors? i was thinking maybe white? any one have any ideas let me know thanks..

i Think shaved door handles look really good on a riced out civic with a6 inch coffee can muffler and iceman intake

i prefer to shave around the outside and leave some in the mid....oh wait...err, this is about cars...
