Question Wheres the drain plug

Hi. I have done oil changes plenty of times just never to my own car. Where is the drain plug on the 99V6(1MZ-FE)?

Re: Wheres the drain plug

Bottom of the oil pan which is the bottom of the engine. Lowest bolt on the engine.

Re: Wheres the drain plug

Well let me be more specific. Is the oil pan on the left or right side of the exhaust?

Well I am assuming it is the the left side(looking down at it) being that is where the dip stick is. Correct me if i am wrong.

I think you're putting the cart before the horse. Once you lift your car up high enough to gain access to it, you will see it. Get under the car first.

I got to it but couldn't get it off. It was too tight. I am going to tell the shop not to use a an impact gun(torqe set to proper amount) so this way next time I go to do it I can get the darn thing off.

Re: Wheres the drain plug

Buy a 1/2' drive breaker bar - it will come off.
