2001 740 sound system
Hi. I was wondering how many speakers the 2001 740 has and how much is the output power of the factory sound system. Also, if anyone one know what size the speakers are and where they're located, that would be very helpful too. Thanks alot!!

I do not have one of these fantastic cars, but I do have the 2001 7 Series brochure. Under "audio system", it describes:
Premium anti-theft AM/FM stereo/cassette audio system with Radio Data System (RDS); 14-channel amplifier; 14 speakers, including 4 sub-woofers; Digital Sound Processor (DSP) with 3 pre-sets, memory, and 7-band equalizer; digital, trunk-mounted 6-disc CD player. My 1990 535i has 10 speakers--I've found 8. 2 upper dash 2 opposite the outside mirrors 2 in the driver/front passenger footwells 2 on the rear parcel shelf (behind the rear seat) See if you can find a Haynes-type repair manual for the E38 (1995-2001) 7-Series. |
