LM's True Value
What is the Lm's True value?? The price just keeps goin up. My theory ~ You cant give some1 what they already have and plenty of for something that they can never aquire again. For all you who don't understand it means you cant give an Lm owner money cause he already has more then he could dream of so why would he sell an Lm (if he loves the car). I phrased that really long didn't I.

Good luck speculating on that one!
The LM is one of the most valuable cars in the world and I doubt we will see one for sale within the next 10 years. I would guess at least 2.5 mill. for any of them, as I'm pretty sure they're in good condition. They also have a more desirable collector status than the F1 because of their awesome capasity and limited number. I think there will be some time before we can see a car that's better overall than the LM! |

one way of seeing things is that a car is worth whatever sonebody is willing to pay for it; a bugatti royale was sold to a man in japan for 15 million us$ in 1990, and a ferrari 250gto has been sold for a similar sum.

Re: LM's True Value
According to qv500.com's model price guide, the maximum that would be anticipated on a F1 is around $1.5 million for the L'Ueno Clinic car. They estimate $850,000 for an LM.

that's the worst BS I've heard in a long time! the road car that was for sale at "autosalon singen" in germany was sold for 1.3 mill € (1.6 mill us$), ray bellm's 16r is priced at 700.000£ (1,29 mill us$), 07r (which was for sale at oakfields) was priced at approx. 850.000£ (1,56 mill us$).

Re: LM's True Value
An LM by now is well over 2 million. I would guess if the owner really appreciates the car and its in spotless condition, maybe 2.8 mil.

Re: Re: LM's True Value
I my book thats definetly how much an Lm would be worth these days. The only other car that I would consider a true collectable like the Mclaren Lm is the ferrari 333 sp.That is probably worth around 1.5 -2.5 million only 21 were built.

Fair enough, however their price guide for a "stock"(?) F1 is £550,000 - £750,000, that seems right 'on' the money. By the way, a bit of confusion here, as QV500 guide is in GBP, and I don't have a pound key on my 'puter, so if I quoted $850,000, I ought have said 850,000GBP, or around $1.6 million USD.
