Re: NEEDS HELP RE: "homemade bypass valve for CAI's"
make you a metal ring with a bunch of holes drilled in it and cover it in nylon pantyhose, when pressure drops it will suck air though it insted of though the filter that is somehow (although nearly impossable) submerged in water.

Re: NEEDS HELP RE: "homemade bypass valve for CAI's"
3/8"... assuming that you have a standard not metric, think that translates into like 12mm. Something about the size of your small finger.

That sounds pretty stupid to me...
There's no filter there, so you're just going to get a bunch of shit (dust, dirt, hot air) in your intake. Nylons do not = filter. Plus, the nylons would probably melt.

Re: NEEDS HELP RE: "homemade bypass valve for CAI's"
better off spending the money on an AEM bypass valve...just makes sense not to try and make ur own...don't think i'd wanna do a trial and error test on my engine

Re: NEEDS HELP RE: "homemade bypass valve for CAI's"
i'm a believer in the bypass valve, only b/c i didn't have one onand sucked in water
i'm actually gonna put mine back on and hope i never have to see if it works. however, the filter foam on mine has a little tear on it,will it still work?
