Yet another Hasegawa Miura

Here's the engine insert for my Miura. All wired and ready to have the fuel lines plumbed. Doesn't look like much here, however, there's about four different tones and shades of black added to the surrounding area. You also can't see the correct color on the carbs.

I know, I know . . . You won't see most off this once it's all together but, I know it's there . . . lol

Sorry for the crappy scans . . .

comments are welcome

Cant get enough of those SV s!

Engine is looking good already

are lamborghini signs decals? And it s too bad it will be covered by the airfilter stuffy at the top of it, and then by the louvers, or are you going full monty here with opening engine bay?

Ciao

Yeah, the lamborghini are decals.

Opening the rear isn't in the plans for this one but, I've been tossing around the idea of a vacuumformed clear louver for displaying the engiine.

Re: Yet another Hasegawa Miura

I've been thinking about just hinging the rear louvers. Should be easy.

***EDIT***

No big woop . . . Just finished the fuel lines and thought I'd throw up a new pic. Also added coolant reservoir with a photoetched cap from Detail Masters . . .

You shpuld rework the body to have an openable back hood in order to be able to see that very sweet detailing job, when the model is finished.

I just love that engine, looks great. My compliments!!!

Re: Yet another Hasegawa Miura

Lil' update. . . Got the body painted. . . Still needs a bit of polishing. .

Waitin' on my S-27 set. . .

Modeled after 5064. . .

An outside pic. . .

An outside pic. . .

Color looks weird in the pics. . . but is a perfect match . . .

I'll post better pics later. . . this camera sucks and doesn't pic up the colors correctly. .

Re: Yet another Hasegawa Miura

love the lambo's. if you put it out in some natural light, it will bring out the color. im positive that it matches, cameras do funny things to colors sometimes.

Re: Yet another Hasegawa Miura

Yeah. . . the camera is horrible. . . Now I feel bad (almost) because I bought it as a gift for someone . . .

If ya look at some of the reference pics out there the color varies with the lighting and camera. . . At times it looks as if it's a dark lime green and in others it's almost yellow. . .

Re: Yet another Hasegawa Miura

That color and finish is to die for! I never get tired of seeing a Lambo build, especially a Miura.
