4.10 traction

How do you use 1st gear when you race (with 4.10s)? Especially if you dont have a suspension yet? They are on the way to my house, but I am concerned about about using first and losing traction. Where do you launch from (rpms)

You'll have to test it out. It all depends on tires, suspension, and how well you can hook up.

Re: 4.10 traction

I know this sounds weird but my friend has a 99 Z28 M6 and he is a pretty good racer. Well he doesn't rev the car up for the launch he simply pops the clutch and floors it simotaneously and does good all the time. I guess that doesn't help u but it is something to think about.

Re: 4.10 traction

4.10's are pointless if you don't have the correct tractio to get the most out of the gears. Have you tried starting in 2nd gear, that might help some.

I dont have them in yet...thats why I was wondering. I dont have any suspension mods in the near future, and it is not too late to go with 3.73's...

Flash, let us know how everything turns out and what you decide to go with. I was interested in getting gears myself.
