Unhappy Z71 Suburban

Hello

I have a Z71 Suburban 200-2001. Last Oct, the dealership replaced my alternator with a new one. Since then, I have replaced 4 batteries on my car. Everytime we took it to the dealership they tell me there is a problem with the battery. Today, my car won't start. The dealership cannot find anything wrong with the alternator or the connection from the battery to the alternator. I'm getting furstrated with this crap they are giving me. Something draining the battery but I think don't want to admit it because the alternator has a life time guaranteed for life.
I'm wondering if anyone has heared of seen of such a problem

Thank you

Re: Z71 Suburban

This may not help but it may be worth a shot. I remember years back I had a 1977 Dadilac and we had a similar problem. My father got so frustrated with the problem he sold the car for $500.00 to a friend who is a mechanic who quickly found the problem (after he purchased it, of course!) and found the ground wire attached to the body not the chassis therefore the ground was not good enough and drained the battery. We had previously had work done on the car and that was when the problem started. The ground conections on the other end of your battery cable might be a prudent thing to check.

Hope this helps,
John
