Im wondering what exactly the vtec does ive heard alot about it but never on how it works....also im looking to get a 4th gen prelude and in time might have to put in a new engine so i got a few questions how hard/expensive is it to add a h22 to a si or se and also whats the main difference between a long block and a non long block...??

A long block is the engine (head and bottom end). For the rest like scallywag and everyone else will tell you...search

LOL! I just went to the site and I noticed in a sub-caption it says "Just what the heck is this thing that the Rice Boys are bragging about?"

Re: Vtec

Vtec is a system that lets the engine maintain its torque throughout the whole powerband.

Instead of losing the torque generated, it rises and stays almost flat. The valves stay open longer so the engine keeps breathing.
