clutch problems

last night i was at a stop sign on a hill and all of a sudden the clutch pedal went to the floor.i checked the the fluid and it was all gone.i tried filling it up this morning and it appeared to be coming out of of the tranny near the starter.does anybody have a clue whats wrong and how do i fix it?

Slave cylinder near the bellhousing at transmission. Also a hose there, either might be leaking, but I'd suspect the hose in this case. Out in the open, should be able to see it under the truck on driver's side.

i have a simlar ongoing battle,i spent 140 for the (dealer only part) hose running from the tranny master cylinder included and put it in .............ya....it blew.....again found out i had an exaust leak blowing right on that hose, the one runing from the master to the slave cylinder, it heated it up and it blew a hole in it, i did not realise the exaust is what caused it the first time
so check for hot spots good luck

(P.S. anybody know whear i can get just the hose

Around here the local NAPA parts dealer has a machine shop that can repair any hydraulic hose. With the metal ends being ok you can get the hose replaced for a few dollars. Can't imagine $140 for that little piece, but anything at dealers these days is out of sight.

ya dealers are greedey, well i took it to a close by friend, he kinda a snowbank machanic type but he patched it up for me he figured out why my exaust did that, it was my cat it had a compleat melt down almost to the point of makin the truck stall cause it was lettin such a low amount of exaust out. that was a head scratcher for a while
