Angry fuel filter help

I recently went to start my car and it wouldn't start. It would turn over and start for like a second then stall, it is acting like it isn't getting gas. So I am trying to change to fuel filter. Can anyone help me with this, it is a 2000 grand am SE

Thanks

Re: fuel filter help

do you have a remote starter in the vehicle that could cause the problem, also ignition switch may be faulty, but if you need to change the fuel filter it is under the vehicle threaded both end mounted to the left frame rail. gm filter is a gf481

my '99 2.4 is doing similar things. when it starts and u put it in gear it will die as soon as u let off of the break unless you are giving it gas. it dosent do this all of the time. usually it starts messing up while im driving. it will start to stutter. if you let off of the accelerator for more than a couple of seconds it will die. i have changed my fuel filter a couple of times. i have also had it hooked to a diagnostic machine and it found nothing wrong. is there more than one filter?
