clock and radio light

I ran into a gas station and bought a pop and got back in my 99 Grand Prix and no radio or clock light. I checked the fuses, both good and after I replaced them, the radio came back on but no clock or radio light. Clock has kept time trough out.

Hey,
I have the same problem on my 97 GTP. The problem is a light that has burned out. I have found a guy on ebay that fixes them for about 40 bucks. I will send info on him when I find it!

Re: clock and radio light

It may not necessarily be a burned out bulb, I was told it's bad solder joints. It may be something you can fix yourself, I think I remember hearing a few say they'd done it. You might find more info on www.clubgp.com

Re: clock and radio light

Yeah, I've owned four pontiacs, and two of them had the display issue. Both were '97s, one a Bonneville, the other a GTP. My '94 GP SE didn't do it, or if it did, it didn't get bad enough to totally go out, and my '99 hasn't done it.

Re: clock and radio light

Sounds like a standard Delco fare. I have yet to see a GP w/o radio light problems. Most either live with it, or buy an aftermarket.

Angry Clock/radio/CD Display Not working

I have 2000 GrandPrix GT with the "Bose sound system", the sound is good but the CD player SUCKS & the display is not working. I guess I'll opt for a Pioneer (special fit) for $300 instead of wasting $100+ on repair to have it only happen again. Glad to find I'm not going crazy!

thank you all for the help!
