240D Fog Light Repair
Over the years one of the fog lights seemed to fill with water. Odd, but I think that's true. Now the light fixture is nearly hanging lose in its chrome housing. The bottom seems secure but the top of the lens seems unsecured and I fear it will fall out while driving. I would like to remove the light and replace it. It's not clear to me how to remove the light. It might be that I do something from the back. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have too much experience with the 240D but I'm sure the fog light is mounted from the rear. You will most likely have to jack the car up in the front and remove the fog light from the rear of the bumper. It should be fairly simple.

Thanks. The back of my light assembly is accessable from under the hood. I'll look around to see it there is anything obvious to unscrew or unclip. Do you know where I might purchase a new fog light?

A new foglight assy is available from MB. It's an odd size you probably won't find in the aftermarket. If the color is amber, which would fit from 81-85, the part number is 000-826-47-99.

Re: 240D Fog Light Repair
Thanks for this information. I have been busy trying to get the antenna to work and also attending to some minor body rust but plan to turn attention to the fog light this weekend.
