Engine Swap!!! Help

I recently got a 88 supra as a graduation present and it has a locked up engine. It was the stock single turbo. Now what i want to do is put in a twin turbo but cant seem to find one for that year. There go i assume it never came out. I did however find a 94 supra Twin Turbo now could i put that engine into my 88. And if so please direct me as to a place to get one. And if not please direct me to a place where i can get a 88 supra single turbo engine.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Shaun...

a 2jz will fit in a ma70. i dont know where you can get the engine though. ebaymotors.com or look for a wrecked mkiv tt. you can also get a 1jz if you want.

Re: Engine Swap!!! Help

So you want to swap in a 1/2jz just because it's "twin turbo"? Do lots of reading and researching on your/the MKIII then maybe you'll understand why 0.0001% of people go through with the swap. If you really want a JZ, swap in a 1jz-gte from the JZA70. Just don't be dissapointed when you spend $5K just to have a stock engine while that $5K spent on rebuilding/modding 7m-gte could get you 500+ reliable hp. As for finding another used 7m-gte, go to jarcoinc.com or soko.com and buy an imported JDM engine, most have around 30-50K miles and should cost $600-700. There are other places too but remember you get what you pay for with imported engines, if the price is really low there's probably something wrong with it.

Re: Engine Swap!!! Help

Nothing at all is bad about the engine, besides the price to do the swap. What can you do with the 7m? Go to 7Mpower.com or like I said before, do alittle bit of research for yourself, start by searching supraforums.com. You'll learn alot and appreciate it that much more by doing the work yourself.
