Fuel pressure regulator

Anyone changed one on a 97' RS 3.8L? Can I do it from under the hood or do I gotta take the dash off?

Re: Fuel pressure regulator

I have never changed one but was looking at a pic of the engine and it looks like you have to remove the cowl grill to be able to get to it, There is going to be a firewall if you remove the dash so that won't help, you might also try putting the engine in reverse cutting the ignition and pulling the emergency braking to try and get engine tilt

Re: Fuel pressure regulator

if you remove the cowl work there's nothing but sheet metal that extends out as much as the cowl. its not gonna help you in getting to the back any better, but it might make it less of a squeeze. i would look into trying to get to it from underneath. i dont know where it is cause i dont have a 3.8 but it might work...

I would ditch the monte and start putting up the Camaro but I cant get a decent picture of it since it's parked! If I could move it then yeah.. you'd see a Camaro instead of the Monte in my sig.
