Makin It Louder

I love the sound of my car (exhaust), but I want to make it louder. I have the N1 downpipe and 3" exhaust, BOV and injen intake. What else can I get or do to make it sound better. Like I said, it sounds great - but I want it to sound NASTY. I have no cat. and no silencer either. Louder is better, whats my next step to noise level. (97 gsx).

Re: Makin It Louder

He said he just has no cat. Open downpipe + external wastegate w/ no recirc would be loudest

Internal wastegate dump sounds like shit (so says Kevin).

i dont reamber what their called, i was watching trucks, on the first network for men. they had somthing that looked like a y pipe that had a motor that by a flip of a swich inside the car, you can move a door plate out of one side of the y pipe to the other side, so you can have strait pipe, and regular exhaust on the car for stree & strip. it was preatty slick. i dont reamber what it was called thought

Re: Makin It Louder

LMAO... the only thing you can do is either get a bigger turbo or take your test pipe off...

Re: Makin It Louder

New exhaust manifold is the least of your restriction. There is no easy way to make the car sound better, it all comes with faster mods... like an externally gated turbo with atmospheric dump. That's about all you can do.
