Firing Order

Ok I was changing the plugs and wires and a 15 years old who was helping me did not put the wires back in the harness on the passenger side. I need the firing order for a 98 4.3L W engine. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Firing Order

And let me explain I have no idea how that firing order relates to hooking them up to the distributor. Can everyone tell I am not a mechanic

4.3 litre engines have a firing order of 1-6-5-4-3-2. In case you do not already know, when looking at your engine from the front of the car, the number one cylinder is the closest cylinder to you on the right hand side and the number two cylinder is the closest one to you on the left hand side. Odds on the right, evens on the left.

Re: Firing Order

I think your cap is marked, just match the number on the cap with the correct cylinder
