Keyless Entry Pad does not take Factory Code?
I have a 2002 Crown Vic, and I have tried to use the Keyless Entry according to the instructions provided in the manual.
It says that you can bypass a personal code by using the factory code. I have the factory code, but it does not run. The only thing that I can get the pad to do is look all doors at once. But I did not have to enter the Factory code for that. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, T-Bird

Are you sure you have the correct factory code? That's all i can think of off the top of my head...
Take the car into the dealership and get them to tell you for sure. They won't give you the info over the phone. If it's the correct code and it's still not working, post back and i'll see what i can dig up for you.

The factory code was on the back of the trunk lid hinge, and on a credit card looking item from Ford. However, it did not work. I took it into Ford, and they reprogrammed it.

OOP's I thought it was fixed! They probed it, and gave me the code. However, I tried to use it and nothing unlocks.
Using the code the dealership gave me, and factory code it does not actuate the locks! I guess back to the dealership. T-Bird

Yeah, the dealership is the best place for those issues...it's hard to know what to do unless i'm actually there for these kinds of things.

I have a 2000 Crown Vic. I bought it used and don't have the door codes. I took off the driver door panel and got a 5 digit code from the computer module but the code still won't open the door or lock them either. The panel lights up and the interior lights come on but nothing else. Any suggestions? I asked my dealership about reprogramming it but they said between $40 and $200 to do that. The tape on the rear trunk hinge has a 6 digit code but that won't work either. I need some suggestions before paying Ford. Thanks!
