Can anybody tell me what the difference between the regulator and the motor is? for a '01 2D grand Am. I went to the dealer and they told me they could only sell the whole thing...I wanted to avoid that cause the motor works but the window fell all the way down and wont stay up..Please Help!

Re: Another Power window question
sometimes, gm makes it so you can ONLY get both pieces at once. sounds stupid, but sometimes they are so wound up with each other, that it is easier and cheaper to replace both pieces.
try an aftermarket source for just the motor....be warned, i believe that they are riveted into place, so make sure you eitehr have nuts and bolts, or a proper rivet gun and rivets to re-attatch it |
