bmw collector

I heard a story from a friend that my 1995 7 series is valuable because in 95 vw took over bmw and my 7 series is one of the last 2600 "real" 7 series to be made.
Is this true?

This is the first time I've heard this claim so I'm skeptical. In fact, in the US, 1995 was the FIRST year of the E38 (7-series) body style which ran from 1995-2001. The E38s started out with the same M60 4.0 liter V8 as the earlier E32s (1988-1994) and then switched to the M62 4.2 liter V8 a year or two later. Of course the 750iL had the V12 engine.

Yeah, it's valuable, worth about $10,000 from my observation if it's in good shape.
