99-00 b16a2 or a 99-01 b18c1

I know i ask a lot of questions on here, but i just can never make my mind up, lol. any how my question is what would be better, if i bougth a 99 civic si jdm 170hp 114lbs tq b16a2 motor for 2800 and bored it out to a 1.9l and add a turbo to it, of go with the b18c1 and bore it out to 1.9l with a turbo, I am leaning towards the b16a2 for its better flowing head and 1.75 r/r so it makes it harder to break connection rods. also i think it would be cheaper cuz i know a guy that will bore it out and hone it for around 200 dollars. Tq isnt really an issue for me cuz i plan on turbocharging it a couple months after i buy a dohc. and internals dont really matter either i plan on replacing cams, pistons, rods etc. so its eitehr buy a b16a2 bore it out and pay about 3200 or buy a b18c1 and bore it out for 3700? I figured with the extra 5 or 6 hundred dollars i could add a 4.7final drive to the a2 and honda lsd.

if you are just going to replace the internals, than why do you care for the perfect r/s ratio. You can fix that with new rods and pistons. And if you are going ot bore out the si motor then there goes the r/s anyways. I would say get the b18c1 (better motor imo) and since you are going forced induction, there really is not much reason to bore it out, that will just weaken your bottom, that would be a better idea for a NA car! and you should be able to get a b18c1 for $2700 or less if you shop right. So for my opinion. Get the gsr motor and boost it to around 8 psi. You will have a pretty fun set up then.

oh ya I say get the lsd, and get a clutch with the money you would have spent boreing out the motor. Also look at the suspension. really look at how you will get the power to the weels.

I've looked every where for the past few months for a obd 2 b18c1 motor and the cheapest if ound was 3400, i know totaljdm.com sells one for 3100, but u gotta buy axels for 75 shift linkage for 75, the lsd comes to 400 extra shippn is 250 for me, it totals out to be like 4grand. i wasnt really concerned about the r/s ratio, just wouldnt it be better and cheaper to buy a 99si jdm 170hp motor for 2800 including shippin axels and shiftlinkage, and use the extra to spend on final drive and lsd and a new clutch.yes i know suspenion is important i have tein ss damper kit on my car already lowered less then 2 inches.
