It is lowered with steeda springs, mach 1 tokiko struts. but it still pops when I turn and stop on the drivers side. and only when moving we can't get it to do it in the drive way..I need help!

Well first off, we definitely need some more info here. When did it start doing it? I'm wondering if it's due to you lowering the car. Did you get the offset rack bushings for the lowering springs?
What exactly do you mean by popping?

Re: 2002 mustang popping front end
Try jacking up the front end of the car, so both front wheels are off the ground, support it with jackstands, open the hood, turn the motor on, and try turning the wheel to see if you can reproduce the sound...
My passenger side had been popping after my wreck (did you buy used?) and I discovered where it was coming from when I tried to get air out of my power steering system... It was coming from my passenger side strut/tower, I know because I can see it move... Might be worth a try, just to see if you can reproduce it that way... So, to sum it up... 1. Jack front wheels off ground 2. Turn on car 3. Turn steering from max to max... That's how I accidently discovered where my popping was coming from.. I couldn't do it when the wheels were on the ground... I don't know how to fix it, I've been too lazy to figure it out, if anyone has any ideas, some advice would be appreciated.. |

Re: 2002 mustang popping front end
we tried that. it only does it when you brake or turn. so we went back and forth in th drive way. BUT we did lube all the bushings and it's still there. BUT it's not as loud which makes us believe we found it but needs more lube..and it was bought new, but I wrecked it after 2months of my boyfriend having it
but thats when we lowered it also soooo? (after the wreck)not sure if it's the wreck or the lowering? it has all new frontend...did ya know cement doesn't give?

Re: 2002 mustang popping front end
I had this annoying problem in my '92 5.0. I undid the rack bolts, cleaned everything, lubed the bushings and tightened everything up tight. No more popping sound. That cured it for me, anyway.
