custum F.I. ????????

I was at work and we had a tank of carbon dioxide. I used it and it came to me. Because it is cold and I could probably get a small tank for my car and shoot it to my intake to get an advantage when I race. What do you guys think???????????

no

although you could make a system over your intake that when you spray the c02 it sprays through hoses around the intake toob to supercool the flowing air

CO2 displaces oxygen, it is not help it out.
Think of it this way. If you could breathe it, it will help. If not, it will hurt/hinder performance. You cannot breathe amounts of CO2 as it is detrimental to your health. Same for engines.

Re: custum F.I. ????????

theres a company called CryO2 that already makes a CO2 "induction" they pretty much put a metal bulb in your intake and spray it with CO2 so that way none of it actually gets in the engine and displaces oxygen, as the air flows over this super cooled "bulb" they claim it will cool down by up to 30% and im pretty sure you can get them for intercoolers too, check a summit racing cataog or goto www.Summitracing.com

Re: custum F.I. ????????

You can. but CO2 will still displace O2 under the hood. So not as much O2 is getting to the engine resulting in not as significant gain as with N2O, for the intercoolers anyway's.

I would just say get a N2O IC sprayer and call it a day. Besides the chilling effect the N2O would have on the IC, some of that would be ingested into the engine to give a mild power boost.
