Re: Getting the beast back

12s? .... what all is done to your Vette?
I would think 12s are possible with basic mods?

Sorry, not really up on mods to Vettes, but I have seen mildly modded Vettes running 12.6 - 13.0 frequently.

You deffinetely won't see a stock 89 vette run 13.0! Not to belittle your vette caleb. Im sure you will have some major balls running in their now!

Re: Getting the beast back

Sorry ... I don't know my Vettes.
I had no idea what year his car was.
The Vette's I was refering to seeing race are much newer.

78-1990 are some of the slowest vettes ever made. My 74 was a dog before I put my zz4 crate in it!

Once again your right, no stock 89 will run 13's but after some major upgrades:
Super ram intake, 74219 cam, 52mm throttle body with airfoil, cloyes true timing chain hex adjust, i also put a new water pump, oil pump, 2 new injectors one which was a v6 injector and the other was bad injector the rest were ok, new dual spring setup ,titanium retainers, valve locks, spring seats, took the ratnest out from the front of my radiator(i thought this was crazy) along with a plastic bag covering the radiator, straightpipe, airfoil, accel supercoil, shaved heads and resurfaced valves, new centerforce dual friction clutch, dual mass flywheel, flowmasters, head gastkets, a k and n airfilter.

Than its all over.

Ive got an 85 vette with some bolt ons and it runs high 13's. With some engine work it could easily run a high 12. Nice vette by the way.
