Re: DX, LX, Lxi

DX has no power windows/locks. LX is powered but no moon/sunroof. Lxi is for the earlier models where the "i" stands for fuel injection. what year are you looking at? cause i believe if you go for a 92 or higher, LXi is nonexistent. i'd go for a mid-late 90's and either LX or EX

Re: DX, LX, Lxi

LXi existed only in the 3rd generation (86-89) and it was fuel injection.

Re: DX, LX, Lxi

LX has a carb and can be troublesome if the fuel filter weren't changed in a timely manor. Easy check to see if all is well. At idle turn on A/C and watch RPM's it should dip about 50 and come back to where it was around 900 if it does your half way there, then turn on the headlights and watch for the same thing. If at any of these the idle does not raise there can be problems. Thats the only major issue with that year LX, but for $700 If the carb is in good shape everything else can be easily fixed.
