My front bumper cover has a gouge in it from an accident I had. The quote I got from a body shop is a little over $900 to replace it. I was just wondering how difficult this is to do myself? Assuming, I could find the stock cover (I've seen it online for under $100). I'm guessing if I buy it online I have to buy paint and paint it... but, if I could find one on a totaled Max somewhere, then maybe I could get a black one and put it on. Is it bolted on? Anyone know how difficult this is?

Thanks for the illustration. I've stared at it for a few minutes and I'm still not sure how hard/easy it is to remove. Any labor estimates for someone who's never done it? Are jack stands enough or does it need more lift? Any and all help is most appreciated.

Re: 99 Max Front Bumper Cover
It's pretty easy not hard. There are blots and small screws located on the front grill, side panels, under the car attached to the splash guards and under the wheel covers. I have a front bumper cover that will fit a 1995-1996 if intrested. Can you tell what what year is your car and what color is it. I can problably pick one up from the junkyard with the same color.
