what is the difference between 2 ohm subs and 4 ohm subs

just a question, will using different ohm loads create any more distortion like.. using 1 ohm instead of 4 ohm, will it sound any worse? because that is what i hear.. just wondering

A lower impedence will raise the THD (total harmonic distortion), but it won't even be close to audible, especially on subs.
