Heres the thing: my a/c at first when i bought the car was as cold as anything. i lvoed it but since i didnt use during the winter season now it doesnt seem cold. im pretty sure its just the freon has ran out. im guessing that i would have 2 options:
1. take it to the dealership and have them fix it. or... 2. buy one of those freon recharge kits at any auto store. which is better? i just want to what is best. any suggestions?

Re: Air Conditioner is not cold
The mechanics are just going to do the same thing you could do with the charge kit...except you could do it for less money.

Re: Air Conditioner is not cold
But a repair shop (NOT THE DEALERSHIP!!!!) will also check for leaks, which is likely your root problem.

Re: Air Conditioner is not cold
What kind of refrigerant is in your system? (what year is your car?) I am looking at options right now for my 1990, an old R-12 system. R-134a recharge is relatively easy.
