Demon-posessed car
So im getting ready to go to work yesterday morning. I back out of my driveway, shift into drive, press the gas......and it feels like im in neutral. come to find out that im not in neutral, but in fact im just somehow starting off in second gear. It wasn't that big a deal at first, until I saw that in order to compensate for the low rpms, the supercharger was being driven pretty hard, making my engine nice and hot wuite quickly. how wonderful. and of course a transmission rebuild would end up costing somewhere north of like 2 grand
the first shop i took my car too wouldnt even look at it until monday, so i had to limp it along to another shop farther from my house. I hate transmission work. It always seems like the mechanics go out of their way to screw you. It seems no matter what happens, "it needs to be rebuilt" with 26K a year for tuition, i cant afford to buy a new transmission. ah the joys of owning a car

Re: Demon-posessed car
yeah tell me about it. A friend of mine was just telling me how he said it's cheaper to catch a taxi and bus everyday than own a car
I haven't had any problems with my car yet, which is a suprise, it's a 83 ford laser, really...really crappy car. It cost me 300 bucks, really cheap. That's like 10 bottles of vodka. Anyway, if anything ever fucked up on my car, I wouldn't even bother selling it. Just buy a new car and with the old car, do it up and rally it. |
