AMV8 vs. Porsche 911 vs. Mercedes CLK vs. BMW 645Ci

Which one would you tend to pick if you were to make a selection out of these four cars?

Probably the 645i, simply because it makes the most sense at the moment.

The old CLK's were overpriced, the aMV8 Vantage'll suck up oil fields whole and the 911 Carrera is nice, but kind of overplayed compared to the 645Ci.

However if it were an air-cooled Carrera.....

Honestly, I just cannot even warm up to the designs of Chris Bangle. I wonder if it's just me. Can't get used to them, never liked them and will never like them...

I'm all for the 911, although the Aston would be nice too. Still I just love Porsche.

1) Porsche 911- I personally believe that this is the embodyment of everything a sportscar should be, and I love the styling.

2) (tie) CLK430 isnt all that great, but the ///AMG CLK is a pretty damn awesome car. Much cheaper then the others, and about as fast as the 6-series. Only problems are the automatic tranny and the old man's car design.

2) (tie) 645Ci... Good car, but I honestly dont think its all that it could have been. Its either overpriced or too heavy or underpowered, but whatever it is, its not BMW's best. I love BMW like no other, but I want a real sports car from them, and thats what I hoped the 6-series would be, but turns out its pretty much just a 5-series coupe. BMW needs a 2 door, 2 seater, non-convertable car to compete with the likes of the Z06, the Viper, and the 911. They have the transmission and the capability of making a completely kick ass engine, now they just need to get their heads out of their asses and make one. This is one of the few times you'll ever read me criticizing BMW, so treasure it.

4) AMV8... Ok car, overpriced because of the name...

Why a CLK 430...why not at least a CLK 55 AMG...I mean make it a comparo!

I have picked the CLK 430 just because the cars in this comparo(except for the 911) either have a displacement of 4.3L OR 4.4L...That's exactly why.

It would be a hard choice between the 911 and the Vantage...I don't wanna be radical by opposing everyone here but I guess I would take the Aston since I believe it is more refined

Well I mean no one is going to pick the CLK 430...it's just not as inspiring as the CL 55 AMG...therefore you have set it up to lose

it is a tough choice between the carrera and vantage. i would probably take the vantage of the base carrera, but make it a carrera 4s and i will take it over the vantage.
