my ex sister-inlaw is giving me the 85 camaro she has (was my brothers) i was looking at it the other day and there is oil blowing up into the air filter. i was told that the #1 piston is gone. but the car still runs. could it just be a bad valve????thinks for any help..

Re: 85 camaro

thats alot of blowby, almost like the rings are non existant. could have piston scoring, but no, a bad valve will not blow oil into your intake.

Re: 85 camaro

A rebuild would cost a grand or two I would think depending on how bad the engine is.
