i have eagle 14" 5 spoke rims, there not the nicest but better than stock! well one of the spokes has a crack all around (f***) well a mechanic told me today that its very bad and i should stay off the freeway to avoid speeds above 60mph BUT its been cracked for a while and ive hit speeds over 95mph and its still ok.can anyone tell me what should i do besides get better rims

If you run past 60MPH, the crack could expand and could lead to damage to you as well as the car. You could try to find a replacement wheel from Eagle.

Driving any speed on that wheel will cause it to get worse over time. Get it replaced as soon as possible. Don't go 95mph on it any more unless you up your life insurance.

on a side note, do steel rims crack the way alloys do? |

No, steel rims are much stronger and resistant to impact.
