Cost of installing APEXi N1
I ordered a APEXi N1 muffler and was wondering about how much it would cost to get that welded on at a muffler place since i dont have the stuff to do it at my house.

Re: Cost of installing APEXi N1
do you have a turbo?
go to a custom shop and get 3" cat back piping welded [2.5" for a NT]. you should be able to get it for under 100 bucks, welded and installed. i got a DP back full custom for under 200, with test pipe, flanges and a muffler welded and installed... |

No i dont have a turbo. Would i have to get the cat back piping. Or could i just get the muffler welded to the stock piping

Re: Cost of installing APEXi N1
You COULD get the muffler welded on to the stock piping, but it never sounds good when people do that. I'd just spend the extra $100-$150 for them to bend you a custom cat-back and then weld the muffler on to that.

Re: Cost of installing APEXi N1
You have to get an exhaust shop to do it. Don't be alarmed when you don't notice any performance gains from just the muffler. Get a full exhaust.

Yall pay way to much for work on your cars. I had my N1 muffler put on last month at a local muffler shop, they charged me $51.35 (all labor). Why would you spend so much on a guy doing some minor welding and some spot welds?

I just got the muffler put on the stock piping and it sounds really good. My feelings are that you really dont need the whole exhaust system, a muffler, down pipe, and maybe a high flow cat is all you need. I love the sound of mine!
