Need help adding DVD in Trailblazer with sunroof

I want to add a DVD unit to a 2002 Traiblazer. I am looking into aftermarket systems and would prefer an overhead flip down monitor so the third row passengers can see too. The problem I am running in to is that I have been told that there is no way to make an overhead install because of the sunroof. I would appreciate any ideas or options especially from anyone that may have tackled this problem.

Hey guys. The topic seems a little old but I thought I'd reply anyway. I've done probably a dozen overhead installs on trailblazers 2002 - 2004 both with and without sunroofs. It can be done no problem just find a shop that has a clue. If your in the PA area by chance I'd be happy to install one as a side job..

yes it can be done. Like the above person said just find a shop who knows what they are doing and it wont be a problem

I have installed an overhead DVD system in my 2003 Trailblazer EXT w/ sunroof. Right behind where the sunroof is between the two air ducts is a big empty space, I was able to flush mount mine in there. I used a 10" monitor also.
