Next Getaway?

Where will be your next getaway? I know a lot of us have recently taken trips, warranted by the holidays, or just the intense desire to get away from it all. Myself, I just returned from Utah not too long ago. If I was to look into the near future, I'd have to say that my next getaway will probably be to the Oregon Coast, or perhaps the Midwest. The details are still being worked out. How about you?

My next getaway? Through some treachery, I was able to get march break off from work, and even though I will physically not be going very far (3hrs by car, then a short trip across the lake [~8km], I am going to my cabin.

A week of relaxing at the cabin, curled up with a book beside the wood-stove with the only sound being the crackle of the fire, and the sounds of nature.

No...
1. Phones (except my cell, which will be turned off unless an emergency)
2. Computers
3. TV's
4. Pagers
5. Annoying siblings
6. Family / Friends

Just some pure relaxation. A few trail rides on my quad-runner, some fishing (depending on lake conditions), and mostly just chilling out.

I will not let anything ruin this "vacation" for me. I need it badly and have definitly earned it IMO.

Well, there is talk of planning a 5 day trip to the Caribbean Islands this summer. We will see how that works out.

Not sure. Having just got back from a 3 week trip to Sydney we need to save for our next one!!! I’d really like to see Hawaii with my hubbie as he’s never been there (I’ve already been twice before but would love to go again). I’d also like to go to Tahiti and Europe.

theres not many poisonous things here in NZ,you might be thinking of Australia. that has more things that can kill you than anywhere else in the world.

And be wary of those koalas, they just seem cute and cuddly.

Hahaha, yea my dad told me a story a few years ago when he held a koala and it jumped down, climbed up his leg and scratched the hell out of it
