camaro help anyone????

i have a 87 camaro and ive been have trouble with my muffler and all that stuff like a leak in the exhaust pipe well i got that all fixed along with a muffler and now it started rattling again. so i relized it was the top converter cap, well after riding a lil with it loose it came off so now its still rattling does anyone think they now what it is???? does the top have to be put back on because it looks like when they put the new muffler on they just stuck that there because it looks like theres already another top on it!!! any advice anyone??????i also have window problems too. mine is just starting lke i tried putting it down one day and it went like a 1/4 down then stopped so tried pushing it down and it worked what do u think will eventually happan and what do u think it is??????

Re: camaro help anyone????

The piece of metal above the converter is most likely just the heat shield. It helps keep the heat out of the floor of the car.

Re: camaro help anyone????

I'd say that the quick and easy way out could be a new cat and cat-back...

Re: camaro help anyone????

a cat back is a new exhaust system from the catalytic converter back. you could get that with a high flow cat but you just got a new muffler i think didnt you?
