options on 2002 Aztek
Just bought the aforementioned Aztek. The dealer said the rke's were lost so I bought one from GM and took it to the local Pontiac dealer to program. They hooked up the scanner and couldn't get it into program mode. They ran the vin and say that this particular Aztek didn't come with RKE, but for $400 he could get me a new BCM and then I would have RKE. If this is true, couldn't I just find a wrecked Aztek that had RKE and get the BCM from it?
Thanks, David |

Re: options on 2002 Aztek
What is your vin number. I can run your vin and see what it says.

Re: options on 2002 Aztek
I see you have a service contract on your car. Which is good if you have a problem. Ok now the way I see it Keyless entry isn't an option on your car but it is a standard feature. Just because it's not listed on your option label doesn't mean you don't have it. Either the shop did it wrong or the feature is turned off in your BCM. All that would need to be done is to go inside the BCM and see if the feature is turned on or off. Turning it on and programming it should fix your problem. The best advice I can give you is to try another dealer.
Here is your option break down.
