I Need Help Making My 89 Rs Fast. It's Completely Stock, What Should Be The First Thing I Should Change. It's A 5.o Tbi. Should I Stroke The Motor, And If I Do What Hp Could I Possibly Push Out In My Rs.

Your best bet if you want to make big power is to replace the 5.0 with a 5.7 and go TPI or carbed.

it would be cheaper that way but you could also make a badass 305 if you wanted

Most people will tell you that your 305 is good for a boat anchor.. and for the most part, I agree with them.. But if the money and time are available, you can get quite a bit of power out of them.. It would be cheaper to have a 5.7 put in and build on that though..

The first things you should do are the basic performance upgrades (bpu) Air intake, (custom? k&n?) Exhaust, ide go with a single 3" pipe, edelbrock TES headers, high flow cats (if theyre required) and a good performance muffler (borla, magnaflow, etc.)
gonna wanna change the smaller things too, plugs, wires (MSD 8.5 superconductors) cap and rotor..

You could stroke it to 335 but if your gonna compare dollar for dollar against a 5.7 I think your much better off with the 5.7. Especially seeing that the aftermarket for those engines never seem to end and they are constantly making new goods for it.

holley makes a 670cfm tbi for it, a computer friendly cam would be nice, world products torquer 305 heads, edlebrock performer intake manifold.

also a set of 3.73's and a shift kit, with a corvette 1-2nd servo will make a nice difference too.

get the stroker kit turn it into a 335.
