what next?
Ok i just finished my engine for my mustang and what should i do next ?I mean usually I hear most people do there paint jobs or they go onto the interior but should i do this before i put the engine in or after and what about rear end ratios? Should i do the rear end before the engine placement or after? any Tips or info would be appreciated keep in my im only 15 i thirst for knowledge!

I say that you should address the suspension and rearend before anything else.
What are your plans with the car? Street, strip, show or what?

the car is going to be street/strip i will be using it as a daily driver though so it cant be too extreme. i wasnt gonna change anything on the front suspension exept maybe drilled rotors or something but im not sure what to do next

I think I remember reading that this is a conversion car, so there are areas that should be addresses first. Front rotors and spindles should really be changed. The stock springs can be reused, but I would get different struts, and maybe think about upgrading the sway bar. Have you converted to a 8.8" rear yet?

no im curious what rear end came in the 1988 lx? Also the front swar bar is already a heavy duty one because i pulled one from a Gt and they were i dentical so i didnt bother .

LX and GT's are just about all the same, except for the ground FX. Was your car orig a 4cyl, or did it always have a 8 in it?

well i typed in my vin number and did the auto check and it came with those results!? And i didnt think lx came with 5.0 did they? ive done the check at different places and they all come back the same!? What is a GLX?

this is wierd because i bought my mustang thinking it was a 2.3 mustang but i guess it is a 5.0 mustang but is still an lx but when i bought the car the guy had the 2.3 that came from the car i rejected his offer to take it but why would it be a 2.3 if the car was a 5.0?
