Camaro Trouble Help!!!!!!!!

I have a 91 camaro RS, Sometimes I will drive this car and it will ride fine, but then most of the time I will be driving it and it will just shut off on me, then when I turn it back on the RPM's will start to jump up and down as if someone is pressing the gas. Then when I throw the car into drive it will then take off on me. I took the car to the shop and the guy could not find anything wrong with it, he said he checked the areas that would most cause that. If you could please help me figure out this problem I would be most grateful. Thanks.

well your IAC is definatly screwing off. it may be the IAC itself, or something is getting a false reading that's telling it to do that. map sensor, O2 sensor etc. or it could even be a vacuum leak

Re: Camaro Trouble Help!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak screwing things up. Does it change as the car warms up and how does it respond when you hit the gas?

Re: Camaro Trouble Help!!!!!!!!

When you say "it will just shut off on me" Do you mean it stalls out? does it bog down at all or backfire? Or does it quit suddenly with no warning?

It does not change as the car warms up usually it does not even last long enough. When I hit the gas usually the car will just shut off on me, but It always will let me drive it for a little bit. It happens very quick and one thing I notice most when it happens is that the gas pedal is not as tight basically because the car is off. One more thing oneday it happen to me and It took me about 15 min to get it running again becuase exactly when I would turn it on it would die before I could put it in drive.
