I purchased a set of chrome gauge rings for my 2003 325Xi: dealer told me that they will not install them because it would void my warranty. Is this true?
Has anyone self-installed these on their cars? If so, any directions would be greatly appreciated ( just in case I get adventuresome!) |

Get a second opinion from another dealer beforew fitting them, you don't want to lose your warrenty, you may need it in the future, you know what dealers are like, any excuse not to honour it.

Re: chrome gauge rings
May I suggest you "google" something called the Magnusen-Moss act? You can install aftermarket products without voiding your warranty, but some dealers think they are above the law!

Thanks so much for that info- I will certainly look that act up. What I cannot understand is, this is the same dealership that installed the after-market angel eyes on my 325Xi- does that make any sense??
Things that make you go "Hmmmmmm.." |
