Ram performance problems.Its the "Death Flash"

hey guys.did a search on this forum .nothing on death flash........it seems it would be a hot topic,,,,thats why yioour 200.2001 rams are so slow,,and iother rams too.but it can be cured...................

alos everyone get the tranny flash to improve power????i did!!!

Look on your pcm...if there is a barcode type sticker on it that says something like....factory software update blah blah blah...then you got it man....its like some crazy asian VD>......cant get rid of it....

dodge trucks had some pinging problems so instead of fixing it on god knows how many trucks they just "Flashed", reprogramed your pcm to back down about six points worth of timing......Cured the pinging but guess what....Lost a shit load of HP...and MPG's......there is a pcm mod that you can do real simply to help ......and of course the basics...air flow....exhaust.....synthetic fluids but its uncurable....a programmer will get back your timing since you can manually override and reprogram your pcm.....

the flash happend in the factory before you got your truck or when you took it for service...they dont even ask ya...just zap

does that go for all software updates? I just bought a 98 1500 5.2 and just found these update stickers too but it seems to have good power and I'm getting about 15-16 MPG.
